For our purposes, Pratunam is defined as the area north of Phetchaburi
Road along Ratachaprarop Road to Victory Monument. Unfortunately
the main area of Pratunam is not served by the BTS Skytrain but
access to and from is easy by taxi and it is possible to walk to
Central World Plaza or Chit Lom BTS station from most hotels. With
its wholesale markets and retail kiosks and stalls lining the streets,
Pratunam is one of the busiest, most popular areas in Bangkok with
regional businessmen, local traders and bargain hunting tourists
for clothes, handicrafts and the like. As well there's Pantip Plaza,
Bangkok's premier shopping centre for computers and peripherals
with competitive prices and a comprehensive selection conveniently
located on Phetchaburi Road.
That said, hotels in the area are mostly 2, 3 and 4 star locally
owned and managed properties offering good value for money by catering
to the business traveler on a buying trip and often feature larger
than average size guestrooms (which is also great for families on
a budget). FYI, in order to remain objective, hotels are listed
in alphabetical order. We don't favor any hotel for any reason.

Whilst at first blush the hotel may seem a bit out of the way, closer inspection reveals it is located just a short (and interesting) 10 minute walk from the Victory Monument BTS station. As well the hotel offers free shuttle bus service to many nearby shopping centres. Guest rooms are spacious and well appointed and complete with a full range of amenities and facilities.
